It’s a really beautiful place, people are Visitar Viseu friendly. There are great day trips to be done eg Serra da Estrela, and in the summer river beaches and lakes to help pass the hot days. Not far away is the small village of Santar, worth visiting and have lunch at Paços Destes Cunhas, where the set daily menu is excellent.
It is a beautiful city. The people are very friendly. The city is clean and untouched by tourists and i believe that this gave myself and friends a real appreciation of the culture of Portugal and it's people.
